in February 2005 the Western
Province was enduring one
of the worst droughts in living memory.

At the peak of the drought afflicting the Western Province of Zambia in 2004 and 2005 funds provided by the Alan Kerins African Projects fed over 700 families in the region. Since the drought has subsided the aim of the charity has been to promote and fund more sustainable solutions. |

Whether it
is the teaching of modern, effective and sustainable farming techniques or the
teaching of reading and writing to local children, education is central to the
goals of the Alan Kerins African Projects. |
